Born and raised in Anderson, South Carolina. Johnny graduated from McDuffie High School and he believes that we can do better for each other and for our future generations.

Johnny is a dedicated family man. Tracy is a surgical technologist. He has three children, two daughters and a son. He’s still paying for his two daughters’ educations and understands how the current folks in Columbia are making it harder and harder for people to get even a basic education. Their education and future opportunities have made him sensitive to how difficult it is for parents and kids to afford higher education and whether they will have the opportunities to live the American Dream many of us grew up believing in.

He’s had his own businesses for the last two decades. He knows firsthand how taxes make it difficult for small business owners to grow at the local level and how taxes affect average Americans.

Johnny voluntarily cuts grass for some of Anderson’s older folks, because he knows how difficult it has become for them to afford to even get their lawns mowed in this current economy.
